Which voltage should I choose?

For home and DIY use the 230V version which uses a standard UK mains plug is the right choice; if you are plugging it into a wall socket, choose the 230v version.

For building site and commercial use, the 110v versions offers increased safety. The 110v version is fitted with round-pin plugs and can only be used with a 110v step-down transformer or generator with a suitable current rating.

How do I unsubscribe from Evolution emails?

Click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email.

You’ll still receive transactional emails about your orders, payments, and shipping.

Who is my account manager?

Your account manager can be found under the Support menu in the website navigation.

How big of a hole can you drill with a Magnetic Drill?

Evolution Magnetic Drills feature annular cutters capable of drilling holes up to 50mm in width, depending on your choice of model and accessories.

Can I download instruction manuals and parts diagrams?

Yes — these are available from our Downloads page.

What is a Plunge Saw?

A Plunge Saw offers the features of a track saw and usually adds in an enclosed blade for reduced dust creation and allows the user to vary the depth of cut at any time. Plunge Saws tend to be much more expensive than Track Saws and generally use brand-specific rail systems.

A colleague has left the business. How do we remove them from the Evolution Buyer portal?

For security, all orders require an internal Purchase Order Reference before checkout — this helps ensure only authorized orders are placed.

What are my payment terms?

Can a Table Saw cut metal?

All Evolution Table Saws can cut metal as well as wood, plastic and composites with our standard Multi-material blade. We also manufacture a range of aluminium, stainless steel, mild steel and non-ferrous metal cutting blades for our TableSaws. If you intend on cutting large quantities of a specific metal investing in one of our specialist blades will offer you the best combination of value for money and cut quality.

Do I need to provide a Purchase Order Reference before placing an order?

Yes — all orders must include your internal Purchase Order Reference before submission.

What happens when carbon brushes wear down?

When carbon brushes wear down, the power tool’s motor will struggle to perform. You must stop using the tool if the motor isn’t working properly, as it could cause irreversible damage and render your machine useless. You may also notice a burning smell when the brushes fail. Replace your carbon brushes as soon as possible to get the most life from your power tools.

What direction does the blade face?

The teeth on all our Mitre Saw blades should point downwards when the blade is installed correctly. The blade rotates in a clockwise direction and you cut on the down stroke when simply chopping and cut on the push stroke when using the slide.

How do I see my previous orders?

You can access your account details by clicking on the "My Account" button at the top of the page or on the website navigation under "support".

In your account, you should see in the navigation: "Orders".

If your previous orders were placed outside of the buyer portal, your order details are available by contacting our support team.

Why can’t I see any pricing?

If a product appears without prices, it may not be on your company’s price list or we have not assigned a price list to your company yet. Contact us, or your account manager, and we will update your account.

Can multiple people from my company log in and place orders?

Yes — multiple team members can have access. If you prefer to limit ordering permissions, or would like to add new users to your company, contact your Account Manager to update your settings.
